ETNO Thursdays. Paper Cutting

Autumn marks the comeback of ETNO Thursdays! On September 28th we invite you to discover the art of traditional paper cutting. Our guest, professional craftswoman Odeta Tumėnaitė-Bražėnienė, will teach you to make paper curtains.

The art of paper cutting originally comes from the Eastern world and is much appreciated in Lithuania since 19th century. The paper decorations were traditionally used as a part of the interior design and can still be applied in a nowadays world.

ETNO Thursdays are different workshops designed to motivate people to discover traditional culture and to explore its variety.

ETNO Thursdays gather together people of different age and coming from different professional backgrounds. It is an opportunity to always learn something new: to sing a folk song, to knit a pair of traditional wrist warmers, to weave a waistband, to make straw decorations for Christmas or other occasions, to decorate Easter eggs with wax and a lot more!

The workshops are suitable for everyone as they are being organized in the evening, after work. Thus, take your opportunity to dive into ethnic culture and explorations with ETNO Thursdays!
