ETHNO Children. Leather Crafting
In Lithuania, as in the rest of the world, leather was widely used everywhere, from simple buckets of water to elaborately embellished belt bags. A pouch, wallet or belt bag were essential accessories in every person's daily life.
This time we invite children to try the leathercraft. After getting acquainted with the necessary tools, the participants will make a leather bracelet. Scissors, hammer, awl, chisel are tools that will be used during this workshop, so the event should be especially exciting for older kids.
The workshop will be led by Martynas Švedas, a craftsman and a member of the club "Dvaro meistrai", who has been practising leathercraft for more than ten years.
The number of participants is limited, so registration is required.
ETHNO Children is a place for children from 6 years old and their parents, who are welcome to gather together and to spend their afternoons in a curious way. The workshops aim to represent the ethnic culture and to find the beauty of it in our nowadays lives.
