The September Equinox (or Autumnal Equinox) which marks a special moment of the year when daytime and nighttime become even. Afterwards, the nighttime stretches and we step into autumn.
During the September Equinox, our ancestors were celebrating the harvest, praising the gods for the welfare and bidding farewell to the Sun that is leaving for the winter. This included the fires as a ritual to praise the Sun. Fire may be perceived as the symbol of eternity, strength and unity. Besides, after the Equinox we step into the calm period of the year and get closer to the All Souls‘ Day.
Usually, the September Equinox event is a fire show which has an extraordinary meditative character.
